War With Clothes

Good Evening All,

I finally got a breather today.  I was off of work and took the time to really pamper myself.  I went to the salon today, got a manicure and pedicure, bought a pizza, had a glass of wine, and took a nap.  Those are the things that I missed when I didn't have a job.

Well, as I mentioned in previous posts, I have been trying to replenish my wardrobe.  I have lost almost 40 pounds since January and counting.  Now that I took a job as a stylist on the Mag Mile, I am constantly on my feet and moving.  I like that aspect of my job because it is an instant cardio booster.  However, my clothes don't fit..... again.  I had purchase some items from Ann Taylor about two weeks ago.  I purchased the dress below and I tried it on this morning so I can have it shortened at the tailors.  The dress was big.  Instead of exchanging it for another size (size 4), I am just going to return it.  I said previously that I wasn't going to purchase random pieces.  I wanted a grown up closet that includes several tailor pieces more like a uniform.

At Ann Taylor, there are numerous articles of clothing that reflect color.  I love color, however I like more neutral colors when it comes to my wardrobe.  I only add color with jewelry, purses, shoes, and nail polish.  My classic uniform always includes a dark-finish denim jacket.  I have come to the conclusion that I am going to wear my neutral colors that include LBDs (Little Black Dresses), Black fitted pants, black or white skirts, white t-shirts, black leggings, and etc.

I have been told that I look really good in yellow and orange.  I experimented with the colors this week with some shirts that I purchased at Ann Taylor.  I also bought some funky yellow Dr. Martens oxfords.  They were definitely the conversation piece at work as shown above.  I like my colors; however, I love my neutrals better.

Blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue

Good Morning All, I have been enjoying this nice Chicago weather we have.  It has been around 70-80 degrees for almost two weeks now.  It is kind of creepy.  I went to Culver's yesterday to get one of my favorite treats, a three scoop lemon Ice and while in the drive through I see a big bumblebee.  Spring is definitely in the air.  I am waiting for the ball to drop.  Will we be getting 6 inches of snow in May?  Anyways, I got a new bag.  Well, I exchanged a bag that I had bought about two months ago for this bag.  It is the Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue.  I had purchased this bag in white/tan for the spring and had a change of heart.  I like white bags; however, they don't wear well.  Eventually they will get some kind of color transfer from denim or they will yellow overtime. I have a Chloe and Marc Jacobs bag that did that.  Well, the bag in my opinion is not royal blue in person.  It is more of a cerulean blue... that same cerulean blue that cause

Dooney and Bourke is Becoming My Favorite Again

Is Blogging Dead?

Hello To All. I have been missing in action from this blog since 2015.  I am the type of person that gets bored with things quite quickly.  I have a question for you today.  Is blogging dead?  There are millions of blogs out there covering everything from fashion, food, homes, wine, and etc.  With the fashion piece, Instagram has taken over the need to post a  blog about what a person is wearing and what the audience should buy. However, is it quite necessary to share with the world everything that a person does in their life. I am signing off with this open ended question; should you leave things to the  imagination?  Ponder on that question; will you. Until next time, many, many, many, blessings!
