Introducing My Middle Sister

Zac Posen Outfit, Prada Pumps, Gucci Large Guccissima Sukey
Good Afternoon,

This week has been crazy.  I passed out in Old Navy on Thursday.  I have a bump on the back of my head.  The paramedics took my vitals and they were good.  I had a panic attack.  I have been really busy lately and have not had time to adjust my new life with the two new jobs.  I haven't been taking in enough calories to substain me.  I am okay.

Well, I had the opportunity to catch up on some quality time with my family. I took my daughter shopping on Saturday which is something that we haven't done in a long time together.  Usually, I just pick up my daughter some things along the way.  It felt good to spend some acutal quality time together.  I was able to catch up with some old friends from Neiman Marcus and try on some shoes and smell some new fragrances.  Originally, I was scheduled to work at Ann Taylor yesterday, but I had to cancel due to the trains and the NATO sumitt. Instead, I went to Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft to shop and talk to some collegues.  It is fun to see how other stores are and meet my other fashionistas in crime.

Today's the hubby's birthday.  He wanted to keep it light.  We went to church and grabbed some  wings from his favorite wing spot; Wing Spot.  They are very good.  I heard the rapper Rick Ross owns a Wing Spot franchise.

Anyways, I finally had time to take pictures of my fabulous middle sister Kashi.  She is a Registered Nurse who has two Masters Degree in Nursing and Health Care Administration and is currently working on her Ph.D in Nursing.  She is my inspiration behind me finishing my education.  Along with taking care of people and advancing her career, she is a great dancer and dresser.  I remember my little sister wearing Timberlands and trading Ralph Lauren jackets with my husband back in the 90's.  I was in the shock of my life when she came to visit me in Japan back in 2004.  My middle sister traded in her Timbalands for some Manolos.  Well, I had the opportunity to get my sister's take on her style very briefly:

Groupthink:  What is your style?

Kashi:  I like everything.  I like vintage, classic, and bohemian.  I wear what I like.  It depends on whatever mood I am in.

Groupthink:  What is your take on the luxury goods market?

Kashi:  It is a waste of money for luxury goods unless you have the money to burn.  I believe in splurging here and there; however, if you have style you can look good in whatever.  Style can't be bought.

Groupthink:  Any advice for people investing in their first wardrobe?

Kashi:  Invest in quality pieces; nice pieces like a  fitted jacket,  tailored pants, cute little black dress, and a structured bag.

Groupthink:  What is your favorite color and brands?

Kashi:  I love to look at purple but I love a lot of earth tones.  I like gray and red combinations.

Groupthink:  What are your favorite designers?

Kashi:  I really don't have any.  I buy what I like.

To sum it up, my sister is just like me.  We like what we like when we like.  Just random.

Blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue

Good Morning All, I have been enjoying this nice Chicago weather we have.  It has been around 70-80 degrees for almost two weeks now.  It is kind of creepy.  I went to Culver's yesterday to get one of my favorite treats, a three scoop lemon Ice and while in the drive through I see a big bumblebee.  Spring is definitely in the air.  I am waiting for the ball to drop.  Will we be getting 6 inches of snow in May?  Anyways, I got a new bag.  Well, I exchanged a bag that I had bought about two months ago for this bag.  It is the Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue.  I had purchased this bag in white/tan for the spring and had a change of heart.  I like white bags; however, they don't wear well.  Eventually they will get some kind of color transfer from denim or they will yellow overtime. I have a Chloe and Marc Jacobs bag that did that.  Well, the bag in my opinion is not royal blue in person.  It is more of a cerulean blue... that same cerulean blue that cause

Dooney and Bourke is Becoming My Favorite Again

Alto Canvas Wide Tassel Bag Amazon Medium Double Gussett Satchel Alto Magnetic Crossbody Florentine Drawstring Florentine Mini Satchel Mauro Governa Crocodile Double Shopper As I mentioned earlier, I am a total handbag and shoe fanatic.  I loved handbags every since  I received my first Coach bag at the age of 12. As the years went by, I went from being a Coach fanatic to a Dooney and Bourke fanatic, back to a Coach fanatic, and then I ventured into highend designer bags.  I have a personal SA at Louis Vuitton, a SA for Celine Luggage Bags at Barneys and the list goes on.  One thing I could never bring myself to buy was a Birkin Bag.  However, I did purchase a Hermes Evelyn last year and had buyer's remorse so I returned it.  I don't know why because I bought about 11 bags last year ranging from Bottega Veneta, Celine, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.  I could of owned about five Birkins by now.  I figured Birkins weren't quite my style along with

Is Blogging Dead?

Hello To All. I have been missing in action from this blog since 2015.  I am the type of person that gets bored with things quite quickly.  I have a question for you today.  Is blogging dead?  There are millions of blogs out there covering everything from fashion, food, homes, wine, and etc.  With the fashion piece, Instagram has taken over the need to post a  blog about what a person is wearing and what the audience should buy. However, is it quite necessary to share with the world everything that a person does in their life. I am signing off with this open ended question; should you leave things to the  imagination?  Ponder on that question; will you. Until next time, many, many, many, blessings!
