Week Recap

Good Morning All,

I have been rather busy this week.  I started not one but two jobs this week.  I actually worked three jobs including my volunteer work at the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.  I am tired but; a good kind of tired.  I was reading the Oprah magazine yesterday and it featured women who embarked on their dreams no matter what age they are.  I was amazed how a woman became a firefighter in her 60s.  This was an inspiration for me.  As I recap on the week and my journey for enlightenment that started in December, I can do anything that I put my mind to largely; all props to the Creator.  On my almost 5 months hiatus from working, I started a blog; lost 30 pounds; took up running; volunteered; and embarked on a spiritual journey with the Creator and His Son.  I am truly blessed.

Well, yesterday was first day on the job at Ann Taylor.  I work at the new concept store in the area.  I had a ball yesterday.  It was super busy because of the Friends and Family 40% sale that is currently being offered.  Today is the last day and the sale includes everything in the store as well as Ann Taylor Loft.  Of course I feel like a kid in the candy store. I am currently writing down things that I love and going to look at when I return to work today.


Remember the size 6 jeans that I were waiting on from Ann Taylor Loft?  I received them and they fit perfect.  I took them to my tailor and she hemmed them for me.  I will wear them to work today with one of the blazers I bought from Ann Taylor Loft.  I am going to wear the seersucker jacket with a white tee (Ann Taylor) and the jeans. Until next time....... Good Morning All, I have been enjoying this nice Chicago weather we have.  It has been around 70-80 degrees for almost two weeks now.  It is kind of creepy.  I went to Culver's yesterday to get one of my favorite treats, a three scoop lemon Ice and while in the drive through I see a big bumblebee.  Spring is definitely in the air.  I am waiting for the ball to drop.  Will we be getting 6 inches of snow in May?  Anyways, I got a new bag.  Well, I exchanged a bag that I had bought about two months ago for this bag.  It is the Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue.  I had purchased this bag in white/tan for the spring and had a change of heart.  I like white bags; however, they don't wear well.  Eventually they will get some kind of color transfer from denim or they will yellow overtime. I have a Chloe and Marc Jacobs bag that did that.  Well, the bag in my opinion is not royal blue in person.  It is more of a cerulean blue... that same cerulean blue that cause

Dooney and Bourke is Becoming My Favorite Again

Is Blogging Dead?

Hello To All. I have been missing in action from this blog since 2015.  I am the type of person that gets bored with things quite quickly.  I have a question for you today.  Is blogging dead?  There are millions of blogs out there covering everything from fashion, food, homes, wine, and etc.  With the fashion piece, Instagram has taken over the need to post a  blog about what a person is wearing and what the audience should buy. However, is it quite necessary to share with the world everything that a person does in their life.
