Happy April and Holy Week

Spring is definitely in the air.  This week is Holy Week and unfortunately the weather here in Chicago is not as nice as it was two weeks ago.  This is a very special week celebrating the resurrection of my Savior.  It also brings back the fondest memories of me in Japan, 2005.  I remember attending sunrise Easter service under the cherry blossoms.  Japan was the most favorite place for my family and I.  One of the things I remember most is my daughter bringing home origami.  I think my daughter was obsessed with origami at the time.  Well, one of my favorite bloggers Wendy's Lookbook showcased an origami blazer by Patricia Chang.  The blazer can be seen at http://www.wendyslookbook.com/2012/04/spring-origami-structured-blazer-lime-dress/sed.

I am sort of obsessed with origami as well.  I purchased an origami skirt and dress with origami skirt from Spiegels and Newport News respectively.  Since I lost weight, I am on the hunt for some abstract pieces.  I love clothing that has an edge while at the same time being timeless.  The skirt and the dress comes in neutral colors that I love which will allow me to dress up or down.

Holy Week and Spring is a time for renewal.  A time to get a second chance to get it right.  For me it is a time to re-group and re-invent myself.

Blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue

Good Morning All, I have been enjoying this nice Chicago weather we have.  It has been around 70-80 degrees for almost two weeks now.  It is kind of creepy.  I went to Culver's yesterday to get one of my favorite treats, a three scoop lemon Ice and while in the drive through I see a big bumblebee.  Spring is definitely in the air.  I am waiting for the ball to drop.  Will we be getting 6 inches of snow in May?  Anyways, I got a new bag.  Well, I exchanged a bag that I had bought about two months ago for this bag.  It is the Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue.  I had purchased this bag in white/tan for the spring and had a change of heart.  I like white bags; however, they don't wear well.  Eventually they will get some kind of color transfer from denim or they will yellow overtime. I have a Chloe and Marc Jacobs bag that did that.  Well, the bag in my opinion is not royal blue in person.  It is ...

Is Blogging Dead?

Hello To All. I have been missing in action from this blog since 2015.  I am the type of person that gets bored with things quite quickly.  I have a question for you today.  Is blogging dead?  There are millions of blogs out there covering everything from fashion, food, homes, wine, and etc.  With the fashion piece, Instagram has taken over the need to post a  blog about what a person is wearing and what the audience should buy. However, is it quite necessary to share with the world everything that a person does in their life. I am signing off with this open ended question; should you leave things to the  imagination?  Ponder on that question; will you. Until next time, many, many, many, blessings!

Louis Vuitton Dog Advertisement

Louis Vuitton Montreal, Canada  July, 2009 I know this is random; however after looking at numerous publications such as Vogue over the past two months, I couldn't help but to love their new advertisement campaign featuring the Japanese Chins.  I lived in Japan for about 4 1/2 years and I fell in love with Japanese Chins.  I loved them so much that I purchased a cute little male Japanese Chin from a non-for-profit organization in Lake County (Chicago, Illinois).  I was tickled to see how my love for Louis Vuitton and Japanese Chins were brought to life
