Diminishing Self Worth

Good Afternoon All,

I hope all is well.  I have been trying to find some inspiration to enlighten my fingers to do the typing on my blog.  The past couple of days have been rough because of the job search.  I am trying to stay positive and rely on the Creator to guide me in searching for the perfect opportunity.  I can actually put myself in the shoes of people that have a sense of diminishing worth because of a loss.  A loss can be a job, a marriage, health, or a love one.  When feeling limitations in my self worth, I ask myself, how do you define yourself.  Do I define myself by my job, my marriage, what family I belong to; what affiliations I have; what neighborhood I live in; or whatever you identify with.  I identified myself with work.  I have always been fixated on finding a job, getting the right job, and how much the job pays.  I often sacrificed my happiness for jobs where I was stressed and didn't really like. Over the past year, I have been really doing some soul searching on what my purpose in life is and asking the Creator for direction.  I have come to the  conclusion that I am not my job.  I am an influential individual who has a purpose of helping others while realizing my self worth.  The Creator uses people in mysterious ways.  Since I have been spending much time in the gym, I have become an inspiration for others trying to become healthy.  I am constantly asked what have I done to sculpt my body and lose weight. I have been lucky to have a husband who is a work out fanatic and acts as my personal trainer.  I feel a sense of worth with helping others achieve the results I have achieved on my journey.

When I make progress, I normally treat myself to something.  Today, I treated myself to some African leggings from American Apparel.  These leggings can be found  at http://i.americanapparel.net/storefront/photos/fullscreen.html?l=1&i=http://i.americanapparel.net/storefront/photos/zoom/serve.asp?media=rsa8349p_WhiteBlackAfrika.jpg

Happy New Years 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

. Blessings to All,  It has been a long time coming for this post. The last time I blogged was back in May 2014.  Fast forward to January 1, 2015.  I am very happy to see another year.  I am so glad that 2014 is in the past.  Today is a time to look forward to new opportunities.  On my agenda this year is to get better and wiser.  I am on the path of eliminating baggage out of my life. I am very much interested in the minimalist movement.  A minimalist voluntarily simplifies their life.  It can include buying less things, reducing consumption, working less, and even eliminating toxic things from your life.  I always admired the Japanese culture.  They practice minimalism; however some may argue that is due ...

Is Blogging Dead?

Hello To All. I have been missing in action from this blog since 2015.  I am the type of person that gets bored with things quite quickly.  I have a question for you today.  Is blogging dead?  There are millions of blogs out there covering everything from fashion, food, homes, wine, and etc.  With the fashion piece, Instagram has taken over the need to post a  blog about what a person is wearing and what the audience should buy. However, is it quite necessary to share with the world everything that a person does in their life. I am signing off with this open ended question; should you leave things to the  imagination?  Ponder on that question; will you. Until next time, many, many, many, blessings!

Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel

Good Evening All, This week has been rather hectic.  Dealing with family issues and job interviews at the same time.  All is good and the Creator is in charge.  I had purchased a Dooney and Bourke bag about two months ago to store my keys, ipod and identification when I workout at the gym. The bag wasn't a great choice and I end up exchanging the bag for a Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel in gray. At first I didn't really like the Janine Satchel because of the size.  I love big bags; however since I have lost over 20 pounds, big bags are starting to overwhelm my stature.  I wanted a gray bag because I wear a lot of gray outfits and have been unable to find the perfect gray bag.  There are many different shades of gray that tend to be a little taupe or have a bluish undertone.  This bag is more on the heather gray side with the beige vachetta accent. It is the perfect bag for the warmer months.  The leather reminds me of the Prada S...
