Twins


Good Afternoon All!!!!!!!

Twins are on the brains today because I was watching The View and there were a set of identical twins on the show getting a makeover.  They find themselves choosing the same things inadvertently to wear and they wanted an identity of their own. If you are familiar with twins, parents often dress twins alike.  Twins run in my family and my husband's side of the family.  My baby sister has two fraternal twin girls and when I want to buy them things not only do I have buy one, I have to buy two.  My mother wanted the twins to have matching Burberry dresses, and I couldn't get my head around  buying two dresses for toddlers at $300 each. Well, when I buy my nieces things to wear, I have a problem of buying two of the same thing.  I can find a pretty little outfit in the size I need; however, I can't find a duplicate.  I will not purchase the outfit unless there are two identical outfits.  I inadvertently think I need to purchase the same outfits for two twin girls because it is two of them and they are the same figuratively although fraternal.  I don't want the twins to be slighted or fight over an outfit because they are different.  But aren't they different?  Don't they have identities of their own?

Well, I have my experience in the twin department with my middle sister who is 7 years younger than me.  We have twin tastes and experiences.  She has two masters degrees and I have two masters degrees.  She loves handbags and shoes, I love handbags and shoes.  She likes her boyfriends in shape; my husband is in shape. Our little sister calls us dumb and dumber, because we buy the same handbags and shoes.  However, she wears an 8 in shoes and I wear a 9 1/2 in shoes.  My baby sister asked why do you guys buy the same handbags.  You should just buy one handbag and share.  The point is that we spend over $$$$ for handbags and from an economic standpoint, that is smart.   My sister and I are so on point with our attire that when we go to events, we have on the  same shoes and handbags without planning it. I remember my daughter's 8th grade graduation 2 years ago.  We had on different outfits, however we had on the same pair of Stuart Weitzman red patent leather open toe pumps.  Go figure.  We inadvertently buy and wear twin items to wear at the same events.  I think she is my Irish twin 6 times removed.  Go figure.

Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel

Good Evening All, This week has been rather hectic.  Dealing with family issues and job interviews at the same time.  All is good and the Creator is in charge.  I had purchased a Dooney and Bourke bag about two months ago to store my keys, ipod and identification when I workout at the gym. The bag wasn't a great choice and I end up exchanging the bag for a Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel in gray. At first I didn't really like the Janine Satchel because of the size.  I love big bags; however since I have lost over 20 pounds, big bags are starting to overwhelm my stature.  I wanted a gray bag because I wear a lot of gray outfits and have been unable to find the perfect gray bag.  There are many different shades of gray that tend to be a little taupe or have a bluish undertone.  This bag is more on the heather gray side with the beige vachetta accent. Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue

Good Morning All, I have been enjoying this nice Chicago weather we have.  It has been around 70-80 degrees for almost two weeks now.  It is kind of creepy.  I went to Culver's yesterday to get one of my favorite treats, a three scoop lemon Ice and while in the drive through I see a big bumblebee.  Spring is definitely in the air.  I am waiting for the ball to drop.  Will we be getting 6 inches of snow in May?  Anyways, I got a new bag.  Well, I exchanged a bag that I had bought about two months ago for this bag.  It is the Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue.  I had purchased this bag in white/tan for the spring and had a change of heart.  I like white bags; however, they don't wear well.  Eventually they will get some kind of color transfer from denim or they will yellow overtime. Happy New Years 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last time I blogged was back in May 2014.  Fast forward to January 1, 2015.  I am very happy to see another year.  I am so glad that 2014 is in the past.  Today is a time to look forward to new opportunities.  On my agenda this year is to get better and wiser.  I am on the path of eliminating baggage out of my life.
