PETA vs Janet Jackson for Blackgama

Good Morning!!!!

Welcome to the second week of 2012.  I am on day 8 of my body cleanse and fasting from shopping.  It has been hard and by the grace of the Creator, I am hanging in there.  So far, I have lost about 5 pounds and I am able to get back in to my tester skirt.  I know you are wondering what is a tester skirt.  The tester skirt is like the pair of skinny jeans you have in the back of your closet hoping one day you can get in them.  In my case, my tester skirt is a skirt I purchased about 6 years ago when I was at my ideal weight and I use it to see if I gained weight. When I can't zip  my tester skirt, that means I will need to cut back on the calories.  Anyways.

I was on the Internet surfing as usual, and sometimes I Google my favorite celebrities just to be kept abreast of what they are doing.  Well, I Googled my all time favorite singer, Janet Jackson.  She was named by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) Grinch of the year because of her partnership with the fur empire, Blackgama.  I always had an issue with PETA. PETA is always stating how they care for the animals and animals shouldn't be slaughtered for fur or food. However, these same individuals will throw paint on someone who is wearing a fur or throw slander against anyone that is supporting the fur trade.  Kind of hypocritical I say.  Don't get me wrong, I am all about the fair treatment of animals; however, the Creator provided animals for us to feast on and to provide humanity with the necessities of life.  It seems like groups like PETA put more emphasis on animals than people.  Are we a society that has shifted love for one another on pets?  For example, when Michael Vick was found guilty of dog fighting, society was ready to throw him under the jail.  However, when the Penn State Coach was accused of molesting boys, he was giving bail.  Are we a society that is so conflicted where pets are more valuable than people? Last but not least, a rich old lady looking for a tax shelter, leaving all of her fortune to a pet?  Words to ponder on.

Blessings!!!!!!!

Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue

Good Morning All, I have been enjoying this nice Chicago weather we have.  It has been around 70-80 degrees for almost two weeks now.  It is kind of creepy.  I went to Culver's yesterday to get one of my favorite treats, a three scoop lemon Ice and while in the drive through I see a big bumblebee.  Spring is definitely in the air.  I am waiting for the ball to drop.  Will we be getting 6 inches of snow in May?  Anyways, I got a new bag.  Well, I exchanged a bag that I had bought about two months ago for this bag.  It is the Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue.  I had purchased this bag in white/tan for the spring and had a change of heart.  I like white bags; however, they don't wear well.  Eventually they will get some kind of color transfer from denim or they will yellow overtime. I have a Chloe and Marc Jacobs bag that did that.  Well, the bag in my opinion is not royal blue in person.  It is more of a cerulean blue... that same cerulean blue that cause

Dooney and Bourke is Becoming My Favorite Again

Is Blogging Dead?

Hello To All. I have been missing in action from this blog since 2015.  I am the type of person that gets bored with things quite quickly.  I have a question for you today.  Is blogging dead?  There are millions of blogs out there covering everything from fashion, food, homes, wine, and etc.  With the fashion piece, Instagram has taken over the need to post a  blog about what a person is wearing and what the audience should buy. However, is it quite necessary to share with the world everything that a person does in their life. I am signing off with this open ended question; should you leave things to the  imagination?  Ponder on that question; will you. Until next time, many, many, many, blessings!
