Overzealous Shopping

On Monday, I was inadvertently led to the Saks Fifth Avenue after Christmas shoe sale.  Mind you, I only went downtown with the hubby to pick up my pants from Nordstroms.  After being led to Saks, I got caught up in the heat of moment.  The only things I saw were other over zealous women and the big extra 50% off sale of shoes.  So, I grabbed two shoes and had the Store Manager bring me the other two.  In a hurry along with husband to leave Saks, I didn't check the pair of Jimmy Choos closely.  When I got them home, they had some discoloration on one of the shoes maybe from moisture.  I was upset.  I have been trying to locate a comfortable nude colored shoe for about three years.  I have tried Christian Louboutins, YSL, and most recently Brian Atwood.  Well, yesterday, I had to trek back downtown to return the shoes and hopefully exchange it for another pair. I called Saks the night prior and a sales associate located 3 pair in Houston, Texas.  However, another sales associate says that their system is slow to show updates and my best bet was to find other shoes in the store or just receive a refund.  Well, I did find the same shoe that I was returning, but in black.  Having huge flat feet, I couldn't just leave the shoes because they were comfortable and stylish.  However, I still needed a nude heel.  Well I was able to locate a peep toe Jimmy Choo pump in nude.  Lucky for me, but bad for the wallet.  That is why I hate going to the store, you end up purchasing things that you had no business purchasing.  This is what we call impulse shopping or in my case overzealous shopping.  Luckily for me, I am giving up shopping for 30 days as a part of a New Years Resolution with my church.  The Creator says "Man can't live by manna alone."  In my case, I know that Groupthink can not live by shoes alone.

Blessings!!!!!!!!

Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue

Good Morning All, I have been enjoying this nice Chicago weather we have.  It has been around 70-80 degrees for almost two weeks now.  It is kind of creepy.  I went to Culver's yesterday to get one of my favorite treats, a three scoop lemon Ice and while in the drive through I see a big bumblebee.  Spring is definitely in the air.  I am waiting for the ball to drop.  Will we be getting 6 inches of snow in May?  Anyways, I got a new bag.  Well, I exchanged a bag that I had bought about two months ago for this bag.  It is the Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue.  I had purchased this bag in white/tan for the spring and had a change of heart.  I like white bags; however, they don't wear well.  Eventually they will get some kind of color transfer from denim or they will yellow overtime. I have a Chloe and Marc Jacobs bag that did that.  Well, the bag in my opinion is not royal blue in person.  It is ...

Is Blogging Dead?

Hello To All. I have been missing in action from this blog since 2015.  I am the type of person that gets bored with things quite quickly.  I have a question for you today.  Is blogging dead?  There are millions of blogs out there covering everything from fashion, food, homes, wine, and etc.  With the fashion piece, Instagram has taken over the need to post a  blog about what a person is wearing and what the audience should buy. However, is it quite necessary to share with the world everything that a person does in their life. I am signing off with this open ended question; should you leave things to the  imagination?  Ponder on that question; will you. Until next time, many, many, many, blessings!

Louis Vuitton Dog Advertisement

Louis Vuitton Montreal, Canada  July, 2009 I know this is random; however after looking at numerous publications such as Vogue over the past two months, I couldn't help but to love their new advertisement campaign featuring the Japanese Chins.  I lived in Japan for about 4 1/2 years and I fell in love with Japanese Chins.  I loved them so much that I purchased a cute little male Japanese Chin from a non-for-profit organization in Lake County (Chicago, Illinois).  I was tickled to see how my love for Louis Vuitton and Japanese Chins were brought to life
