Finding Your Passion

Blessings To All,

I have been on a little hiatus from blogging.  I lost my way and I have been is some kind of funk.  Lately I have been pondering on the idea of where I would like to take this blog or to continue at all.  I must admit I get bored with things all the time and I can bet on  its cause of not being content.  In regards to finding passion in what I do, I am exploring ideas on where I can generate revenue and love what I do.  I am in a bit of a crossroad with my career; juggling two jobs; one in education and one in fashion.  I am passionate about style and making people look their best; however, I sometimes hate going to work at my job in fashion.  I come to work and feel like I am going through the motions. I don't feel motivated whatsoever; and the people around me are not helping.  Don't get me wrong, I am not the person that feels she needs to be motivated by others to do a job well done; however it does help to have serious, passionate, and genuine people who are in charge of your professional development. It is like an ode to passion.  You fall in love with something and you find yourself hating the very thing that you were initially passionate about.

I am going to leave you with something that I heard off of a television show today:  In order to be rich (monetarily), you have to find something that you feel passionate about and make it happen.  I am on that journey as we speak.

Many, Many, Many, Blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel

Good Evening All, This week has been rather hectic.  Dealing with family issues and job interviews at the same time.  All is good and the Creator is in charge.  I had purchased a Dooney and Bourke bag about two months ago to store my keys, ipod and identification when I workout at the gym. The bag wasn't a great choice and I end up exchanging the bag for a Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel in gray. At first I didn't really like the Janine Satchel because of the size.  I love big bags; however since I have lost over 20 pounds, big bags are starting to overwhelm my stature.  I wanted a gray bag because I wear a lot of gray outfits and have been unable to find the perfect gray bag.  There are many different shades of gray that tend to be a little taupe or have a bluish undertone.  This bag is more on the heather gray side with the beige vachetta accent. It is the perfect bag for the warmer months.  The leather reminds me of the Prada S...

True Knowledge and Wisdom

In the news you always hear about how public schools are not teaching children the right skills to be competitive in today’s global economy or how college degrees are not preparing students for the jobs that are available.   A colleague and I recently had a discussion about ideas on how schools can be fixed. He was studying for a Masters in Public Policy at Northwestern University in Chicago and I have a Masters in Public Administration.   We always share ideas on how public policies can be created to support public schools.   Being as cynical as I am, I talked about ideas vaguely but wanted to speak on things that are beyond our control without offending in the workplace.   Working in corporate America has taught me that some of the things that you are not to talk about are politics, religion, and sometimes sports.   I ask myself on a daily basis, why you can’t talk about politics, religion, race, and sexuality.   Those are things that we as a s...

Pre-Sales... After Thanksgiving

Blessings To Everyone, I hope all is well.  I am re-cooping from cooking Thanksgiving dinner and working a full eight hours at Ann Taylor on Black Friday.  It wasn't too crazy; however, the store became really busy within the last hour of my shift.  It takes a patient person to work retail when you have 6 different questions coming from 6 different women at the same time.  However, I welcome the challenge because it tests my limits.  Anyways, I am sitting here typing and stretching out my new Christian Louboutin Geo Pumps ( http://www.barneys.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BNY-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=502682721 ).  As I mentioned in earlier posts, I have the most difficult time with shoes especially Christian Louboutin.  Every pair of Louboutins that I bought, I had to send them back to the store.  I like the Geo pump because of the low kitten heel.  These shoes are more realistic for me to wear than the sexy skyscraper shoes...
