Pre-Sales... After Thanksgiving

Blessings To Everyone,

I hope all is well.  I am re-cooping from cooking Thanksgiving dinner and working a full eight hours at Ann Taylor on Black Friday.  It wasn't too crazy; however, the store became really busy within the last hour of my shift.  It takes a patient person to work retail when you have 6 different questions coming from 6 different women at the same time.  However, I welcome the challenge because it tests my limits.  Anyways, I am sitting here typing and stretching out my new Christian Louboutin Geo Pumps (http://www.barneys.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BNY-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=502682721).  As I mentioned in earlier posts, I have the most difficult time with shoes especially Christian Louboutin.  Every pair of Louboutins that I bought, I had to send them back to the store.  I like the Geo pump because of the low kitten heel.  These shoes are more realistic for me to wear than the sexy skyscraper shoes Christian is known for.

Has anyone taken advantage of the pre-sales that are going on now?  I didn't take part in any Black Friday sales because what I like normally doesn't go on sale.  However, I was able to snag some Acne boots called the Ponyhair Clover in gray (http://www.barneys.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BNY-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=502732245&cgid=BARNEYS&index=17).  I have the black ones already and unfortunately I had to buy them full price (http://www.barneys.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BNY-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=502732197&cgid=women&index=13).  These are the most comfortable, fashion forward boots that I have.  I also snagged some sandals by Alexa Wagner( http://www.barneyswarehouse.com/alexa-wagner-vernea-z-502621005.html?index=5&q=ALEXA%20WAGNER).  I am going to try and wear sandals in the winter time with my leather pants; laughing out loud.

I was also lucky enough to grab my daughter some clothes from Ann Taylor. The clothes were like a $1.98 an item.  I was able to get her 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of pants, a sweater vest, and 4 tops for like $14.00.  I would say this is one of the perks I like about working at Ann Taylor.

I was also able to get a price adjustment on the Saint Laurent tote I purchased about three weeks ago at Barneys.  I needed a black workhorse bag that can carry all of my things.  It can be seen here at http://www.barneys.com/on/demandware.store/Sites-BNY-Site/default/Product-Show?pid=00505022928474&cgid=BARNEYS&index=0.

On a solemn note, I was reading articles about the actor Paul Walker.  He passed away yesterday in an automobile accident.  One of the things that stood out about the actor was, he was a movie star that didn't act like a movie star.  He was a very genuine person stated by everyone that knew him .  I was thinking wow,  what a great legacy to have. Paul died doing what he loved; racing cars and helping people.  Many Blessings to his family and all of you in the blogosphere.

Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel

Good Evening All, This week has been rather hectic.  Dealing with family issues and job interviews at the same time.  All is good and the Creator is in charge.  I had purchased a Dooney and Bourke bag about two months ago to store my keys, ipod and identification when I workout at the gym. The bag wasn't a great choice and I end up exchanging the bag for a Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel in gray. At first I didn't really like the Janine Satchel because of the size.  I love big bags; however since I have lost over 20 pounds, big bags are starting to overwhelm my stature.  I wanted a gray bag because I wear a lot of gray outfits and have been unable to find the perfect gray bag.  There are many different shades of gray that tend to be a little taupe or have a bluish undertone.  This bag is more on the heather gray side with the beige vachetta accent. It is the perfect bag for the warmer months.  The leather reminds me of the Prada S...

Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue

Good Morning All, I have been enjoying this nice Chicago weather we have.  It has been around 70-80 degrees for almost two weeks now.  It is kind of creepy.  I went to Culver's yesterday to get one of my favorite treats, a three scoop lemon Ice and while in the drive through I see a big bumblebee.  Spring is definitely in the air.  I am waiting for the ball to drop.  Will we be getting 6 inches of snow in May?  Anyways, I got a new bag.  Well, I exchanged a bag that I had bought about two months ago for this bag.  It is the Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue.  I had purchased this bag in white/tan for the spring and had a change of heart.  I like white bags; however, they don't wear well.  Eventually they will get some kind of color transfer from denim or they will yellow overtime. I have a Chloe and Marc Jacobs bag that did that.  Well, the bag in my opinion is not royal blue in person.  It is ...

Happy New Years 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

. Blessings to All,  It has been a long time coming for this post. The last time I blogged was back in May 2014.  Fast forward to January 1, 2015.  I am very happy to see another year.  I am so glad that 2014 is in the past.  Today is a time to look forward to new opportunities.  On my agenda this year is to get better and wiser.  I am on the path of eliminating baggage out of my life. I am very much interested in the minimalist movement.  A minimalist voluntarily simplifies their life.  It can include buying less things, reducing consumption, working less, and even eliminating toxic things from your life.  I always admired the Japanese culture.  They practice minimalism; however some may argue that is due ...
