Happy New Years 2013

Happy New Years 2013!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Praise the Creator we have made it to another year.  I hope everyone had fun celebrating New Years Eve.  I kept it light.  The family and I had a taste for some Outback Bloomin' Onion and wings.  We assumed that the restaurant opened normal business hours which is 4PM.  However, we arrived at 4PM and much to our amazement, the restaurant was full with a 60 minute wait.  The family and I chose to grab our food and take it home.  We had a great time last night.  I enjoyed my 2 lobster tails and vegetables while being engaged with a bottle of wine.  The whole family watched Sons of Anarchy until me the party pooper went to bed at 9:30.

I am looking forward to the new year.  After reflecting on the previous year, I have made some large strides in being a better person.  Instead of making a New Years resolution as I always do, I am going to continue on my journey of servicing others.  Last year my New Years resolution was to lose weight in which I lost 40lbs.  Someone once said that New Years resolutions normally start and end on January 1.  With anything that you want to accomplish, it should be a work in process... something that is ongoing and not designated on a particular day.  I feel that way with Christmas and all the other holidays. Why designate a certain day out of the year to do something that you should be doing anyway?  That is just something to ponder.  On a lighter note, the new year is a good way to wipe the slate clean and to start off with a new beginning; a new year.

Until next time, enjoy your day and your life.

Many, many, many blessings.

Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel

Good Evening All, This week has been rather hectic.  Dealing with family issues and job interviews at the same time.  All is good and the Creator is in charge.  I had purchased a Dooney and Bourke bag about two months ago to store my keys, ipod and identification when I workout at the gym. The bag wasn't a great choice and I end up exchanging the bag for a Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel in gray. At first I didn't really like the Janine Satchel because of the size.  I love big bags; however since I have lost over 20 pounds, big bags are starting to overwhelm my stature.  I wanted a gray bag because I wear a lot of gray outfits and have been unable to find the perfect gray bag.  There are many different shades of gray that tend to be a little taupe or have a bluish undertone.  This bag is more on the heather gray side with the beige vachetta accent. It is the perfect bag for the warmer months.  The leather reminds me of the Prada S...

Dooney and Bourke is Becoming My Favorite Again

Alto Canvas Wide Tassel Bag Amazon Medium Double Gussett Satchel Alto Magnetic Crossbody Florentine Drawstring Florentine Mini Satchel Mauro Governa Crocodile Double Shopper As I mentioned earlier, I am a total handbag and shoe fanatic.  I loved handbags every since  I received my first Coach bag at the age of 12. As the years went by, I went from being a Coach fanatic to a Dooney and Bourke fanatic, back to a Coach fanatic, and then I ventured into highend designer bags.  I have a personal SA at Louis Vuitton, a SA for Celine Luggage Bags at Barneys and the list goes on.  One thing I could never bring myself to buy was a Birkin Bag.  However, I did purchase a Hermes Evelyn last year and had buyer's remorse so I returned it.  I don't know why because I bought about 11 bags last year ranging from Bottega Veneta, Celine, Gucci, and Louis Vuitton.  I could of owned about five Birkins by now.  I figured Birkins we...

I Am Back

Blessings To Everyone, It has been two months since I last blogged.  I have been extremely busy with work.  I was working on a dress for success event with both my employers that includes Ann Taylor.  We created an initiative to teach graduates how to dress for interviews and what to wear for work.  At my primary job, we have to create initiatives along with my current job duties. The event was a success. One of the student models was offered a job at the new Loft flagship in Chicago. I also have been contemplating which way I would like this blog to go.  The blog started out as a self help for me and to inspire others as well. I want to focus on inspiring others. In the past two months I have been out of town to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York.  Going to New York was one of the things I wanted to do before I leave this world.  I would say that it is part of my bucket list.  I enjoyed myself.  You know I love all thing...
