Week Recap

Good Morning All,

I have been rather busy this week.  I started not one but two jobs this week.  I actually worked three jobs including my volunteer work at the American Cancer Society Relay For Life.  I am tired but; a good kind of tired.  I was reading the Oprah magazine yesterday and it featured women who embarked on their dreams no matter what age they are.  I was amazed how a woman became a firefighter in her 60s.  This was an inspiration for me.  As I recap on the week and my journey for enlightenment that started in December, I can do anything that I put my mind to largely; all props to the Creator.  On my almost 5 months hiatus from working, I started a blog; lost 30 pounds; took up running; volunteered; and embarked on a spiritual journey with the Creator and His Son.  I am truly blessed.

Well, yesterday was first day on the job at Ann Taylor.  I work at the new concept store in the area.  I had a ball yesterday.  It was super busy because of the Friends and Family 40% sale that is currently being offered.  Today is the last day and the sale includes everything in the store as well as Ann Taylor Loft.  Of course I feel like a kid in the candy store. I am currently writing down things that I love and going to look at when I return to work today.

Remember the size 6 jeans that I were waiting on from Ann Taylor Loft?  I received them and they fit perfect.  I took them to my tailor and she hemmed them for me.  I will wear them to work today with one of the blazers I bought from Ann Taylor Loft.  I am going to wear the seersucker jacket with a white tee (Ann Taylor) and the jeans. Until next time....... Blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Blogging Dead?

Hello To All. I have been missing in action from this blog since 2015.  I am the type of person that gets bored with things quite quickly.  I have a question for you today.  Is blogging dead?  There are millions of blogs out there covering everything from fashion, food, homes, wine, and etc.  With the fashion piece, Instagram has taken over the need to post a  blog about what a person is wearing and what the audience should buy. However, is it quite necessary to share with the world everything that a person does in their life. I am signing off with this open ended question; should you leave things to the  imagination?  Ponder on that question; will you. Until next time, many, many, many, blessings!

Happy New Years 2015!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

. Blessings to All,  It has been a long time coming for this post. The last time I blogged was back in May 2014.  Fast forward to January 1, 2015.  I am very happy to see another year.  I am so glad that 2014 is in the past.  Today is a time to look forward to new opportunities.  On my agenda this year is to get better and wiser.  I am on the path of eliminating baggage out of my life. I am very much interested in the minimalist movement.  A minimalist voluntarily simplifies their life.  It can include buying less things, reducing consumption, working less, and even eliminating toxic things from your life.  I always admired the Japanese culture.  They practice minimalism; however some may argue that is due ...

Transition from summer to fall in style.... Ann Taylor Friends and Family

Good Evening All, I have been busy, busy, busy.  Trying to get acclimated to my new routine.  I went to my job today to get my carrot juice I left over the weekend and I left with the task of passing out Friends and Family fliers to people that I know.  Ann Taylor is having their Friends and Family sale beginning on August 2, 2012 through August 5, 2012.  This is the perfect time to save 30% off of your entire purchase.  Ladies, this is the time to stock up on your tropical wool suiting.  Down below I am wearing one of the skirts from the Fall collection. Don't mind the blurred picture.  I still don't know how to operate a camera properly.  I love the nautical themed skirt.  If you are an Ann Taylor card member, you can enjoy a special preview shopping day Wednesday, August 1st.  Also, I am including a promo code to be used online, FRIENDS1 at checkout.
