Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel

Good Evening All, This week has been rather hectic.  Dealing with family issues and job interviews at the same time.  All is good and the Creator is in charge.  I had purchased a Dooney and Bourke bag about two months ago to store my keys, ipod and identification when I workout at the gym. The bag wasn't a great choice and I end up exchanging the bag for a Dooney and Bourke Leather Janine Satchel in gray. At first I didn't really like the Janine Satchel because of the size.  I love big bags; however since I have lost over 20 pounds, big bags are starting to overwhelm my stature.  I wanted a gray bag because I wear a lot of gray outfits and have been unable to find the perfect gray bag.  There are many different shades of gray that tend to be a little taupe or have a bluish undertone.  This bag is more on the heather gray side with the beige vachetta accent. It is the perfect bag for the warmer months.  The leather reminds me of the Prada S...

Help... My Clothes Don't Fit

I have been in the process of re-inventing myself over the past couple of months.  I am steadily revolving.  Remember, I was hesitant to put my picture on the blog because of my job search; however, the Creator is working on me in regards to fear.  One of the reasons I don't like taking pictures or posting my picture online is that I don't like how I look in pictures.  I am one of those people who looks better in person.  I think that pictures don't do me any justice.  I was watching Joyce Meyers a television evangelist last night and she said something that really hit close to home:  "Stop putting yourself down." Putting yourself down opens up an opportunity for the enemy to make those words come to pass.  This is something that my husband has been telling me for years.  I am my own worst critic.  My revolution involves controlling the power of the tongue.  My good friend AG advised me to never put yourself down or disco...

Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue

Good Morning All, I have been enjoying this nice Chicago weather we have.  It has been around 70-80 degrees for almost two weeks now.  It is kind of creepy.  I went to Culver's yesterday to get one of my favorite treats, a three scoop lemon Ice and while in the drive through I see a big bumblebee.  Spring is definitely in the air.  I am waiting for the ball to drop.  Will we be getting 6 inches of snow in May?  Anyways, I got a new bag.  Well, I exchanged a bag that I had bought about two months ago for this bag.  It is the Dooney and Bourke Florentine Smith Bag in Royal Blue.  I had purchased this bag in white/tan for the spring and had a change of heart.  I like white bags; however, they don't wear well.  Eventually they will get some kind of color transfer from denim or they will yellow overtime. I have a Chloe and Marc Jacobs bag that did that.  Well, the bag in my opinion is not royal blue in person.  It is ...
http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse/productImages.do . Good Afternoon All, This past Saturday I received an expected package from Banana Republic.  I ordered a leather safari jacket in cognac size large.  I was so excited that the jacket arrived three days early.  I opened the box to my dismay, the wrong jacket.  The jacket was black and size medium.  So I called customer service at Banana Republic to tell them about the problem and the sales rep said that she would charge another jacket to my account and ship it out.  I thought this was highly unacceptable.  Why should I be charged twice for a jacket?  I suggested that she send the coat out again without charging my card.  Of course, she couldn't do that but offered me a 15% discount off my next purchase for the inconvenience.  I thought this was not good enough.  Why would you offer me a 15% discount, when I get 10% discounts every Tuesday because I have a BR card and I ge...

Fela Kuti and Rocketjuice and the Moon

Good Afternoon All, I have been really digging Fela Kuti.  I just found out that Fela Kuti the play is coming to Chicago at the end of the month.  Those of you that are into tribal music, Fela Kuti was a pioneer of the Afro Beat. There was a play created about his contribution to music being shown in New York.  I just found out today that the play is coming to Chicago.  Since I am not working, I am kind of hesitant of purchasing tickets; however, I don't have that kind of hesitation when I see a pair of shoes that I like.  Well, before I found out the play was coming to Chicago, I have been listening to a lot of Fela Kuti and watching him in conncert on YouTube.  The dancers that perform are amazing.  It just amazes me where a lot of the dances that you see in urban America come from the Motherland. While browsing Youtube, I also came across this new super group; Rocketjuice and the Moon.  One of the songs I am definitely feeling right...
